Storage

A limited number of UCI departments have assigned storage space in the basement. However, it is important to note that no additional space is currently available for occupants to utilize. If you have any questions or inquiries regarding storage options, please feel free to reach out to UC Irvine's director of space management.

Equipment Management guides UCI in properly tracking capital equipment - whether the university builds, buys, borrows, or receives it for free. All property that meets the university definition of equipment must be tracked in the KFS Capital Asset Management system (CAM). Supports sustainability through circulation of excess campus and UCI Health equipment, furniture, and supplies by selling surplus property to the general public and university departments, while ensuring compliance with campus policy concerning surplus sales.

All UCI employees who handle administrative records are responsible for the efficient and systematic management of their creation, receipt, maintenance, use, and disposition, in accordance with relevant laws and university policy. All records are owned by The Regents of the University of California, and most should be discarded in a timely manner in accordance to the UC Records Retention Schedule. Other records have enduring historical value and should be retained permanently in the UCI Archives.

With our materiel storage service, departments can store materials at Transportation and Distribution Services’ North Campus facility. The materials must be in boxes or containers and organized on pallets. Suppliers should deliver directly to North Campus. Departments can request periodic deliveries to campus locations.
